With more than 500 stores and 53,000 square meters of storage, the Multicedi Group is a leader among the large-scale retailers in Central-Southern Italy.
In 2021, with a clear and ambitious innovation plan, the Group started to make strategic technological choices to enhance business processes and logistics performance. It is precisely with the aim to optimise warehouse picking operations that Multicedi decided to collaborate with Itworks to implement vo-CE.
The Multicedi Group was no stranger to voice picking technology, since they had already relied on two voice picking solutions that are very popular in the large-scale retail sector. What was lacking with the previously adopted technologies, however, was a solution that could be flexible, integrable with the WMS and compatible with the hardware available on the market. vo-CE solution could meet the needs of the Group, and was installed on Honeywell EDA52 devices for picking operations in the grocery, fresh, frozen and fruit and vegetable departments.
